About Us
We are small homesteaders in Central Iowa with a passion for sustainability, providing for ourselves, and producing the highest quality foods that we can. We raise our own chickens and livestock, and we grow a garden with all heirloom (non-GMO) vegetables.
Chickens
Our girls are Sapphire Gem chickens and they provide us with delicious brown eggs daily.
Goats
We have a variety of breeds of goat, each with their own purpose. We use them for clearing the property of weeds, milk production, and breeding.
Garden
Each year we plant a garden, with each plant starting from Heirloom non-GMO seeds. The plants do not receive any pesticides.
Fruit Trees
We are still in the process of growing and expanding our orchard. We currently have plums, peaches, pears, and apple trees developing and are looking forward to getting what they produce!
Cattle
We raise Jersey steers for meat. We are working on getting a Jersey heifer for our dairy products and multiple Charolais heifers to provide us with calves so that we know where our beef comes from and what the cows eat throughout their entire lives.
